I hope everyone had a great holiday season!
Here’s an update-
I am currently receiving the max dose of chemo now and will do so until August of 2011. The doctors will re-evaluate at that time. I am also on a new daily drug. I’m watching my blood pressure because it is slightly high.
My B12 levels were very low, as brain cancer has a tendency to starve the rest of the body of it. I went four consecutive days for injections and now go once per week. Hopefully they will get to a safe level so I can take the oral supplement. My gout came back with a vengeance recently, boy is that ever painful. I cannot take gout medicine because of the tumor, so I have to deal with it. At least my pain tolerance continues to grow!
My latest scan basically remained unchanged, including the infiltrative glioma. This is a good thing.
On a side note, my social club, WBSC, had its annual Installation Dinner at Russell’s. It was a great time, as always, and they honored me with a “Courage Award”. There were very nice words spoken and it was a wonderful reminder of how the club comes together to help their own. Thanks brethren!
I would like to thank everyone again who has helped my family and I through this very difficult year.
Sincerely,
Ed Warren
